Ok maybe I don’t think but know I am. XD So after completing a beautiful shawlette test pattern and wrapping up a few odd ball Wips I’ve had laying around because of said shawlette I’ve decided instead of starting christmas presents I’m going to take on more “other” projects…..I’m insane I know. I realized that I have about oooohhhh three weeks to start and finish all of my christmas gifts which amount to 6 crochet objects, about 20 homemade cards, homemade chapsticks, painted mugs, with some homemade cooking. Now I know a lot of you are going good GOSH!!! woman what are you thinking being online and doing your blog instead of getting to those gifts! To be honest it doesn’t stop there. 😀 I have signed up for another pattern test, signed up for a amigurumi swap, and I volunteered to help my mom with some projects. Oh yeah glutton for punishment am I!
So this is the shawlette test that I finished for DesiLoop and oh my it is heavenly! It is about 4 1/2ft long at the top, the bottom is about 10 1/2ft from tip to tip, and it’s about 2ft deep. This shawl works up beautifully quick and is really pretty with minimal pattern headaches. The pattern is a combination of written and charted. It is written for the first few steps of each chart so that you can get an idea of how it will flow. Once you get the gist of the chart the written ends and you just follow the chart. I love love love how clean this designers chart was! There was no squinting trying to figure out what any of the stitches where along with a nice key. I would recommend her pattern to anyone who has a love of shawlette’s or doilies! This pattern can be done easily by an adventurous beginner who isn’t afraid of charts.
